Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has admitted that his side must beat Ajax on Tuesday night if they are to stand a chance of qualifying for the Champions League knockout stages.
The Premier League champions have picked up just one point from their opening three group games in Europe and they will have to contend with the absence of more than half a dozen players when they play Frank de Boer's side on Tuesday.
However, the Italian boss hopes that his side's injury problems can bring his team closer together on the pitch.
Mancini said: "We have this problem with some important players injured but when you have this problem, it is a time that all the players can put more on the pitch.
"This is the last chance for us."
Ajax defeated Manchester City 3-1 in the Amsterdam ArenA two weeks ago.
