How Brighton & Hove Albion could line up against Manchester City

Sports Mole looks at how Brighton & Hove Albion could line up when they face champions Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

Brighton & Hove Albion face a daunting trip to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday where they will attempt to snap a five-game winless run across all competitions against champions Manchester City.

The Seagulls will be encouraged by their performances against other big teams already this season, most notably a 3-2 victory over City's local rivals Manchester United last month.

That result remains Brighton's only win of the season, though, and they have since ended up pointless from matches against Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur despite good displays.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Brighton could line up at the Etihad.

Possible BHA XI vs. MNC

Out: Dale Stephens (hamstring)
Doubtful: Pascal Gross (ankle), Jose Izquierdo (fitness)

Brighton are missing Stephens due to a hamstring strain, so Beram Kayal is likely to come in for his first Premier League start of the season.

The Seagulls pushed Spurs all the way at the Amex Stadium, though, so manager Chris Hughton is expected to keep changes to a minimum.

The likes of Alireza Jahanbakhsh and Leon Balogun are amongst those pushing for a place in the starting lineup, but they are unlikely to be included in the starting lineup this weekend.

One player who could be in line to return is Pascal Gross, although the midfielder will face a late fitness test to determine whether he has fully recovered from an ankle injury.
