Bacary Sagna fit to return for Manchester derby

Manchester City defender Bacary Sagna says that he has recovered from a hamstring injury in time for the derby with Manchester United on Saturday.

Manchester City defender Bacary Sagna has said that he is hopeful of returning to the starting lineup for the derby clash with Manchester United on Saturday.

Sagna has been sidelined for City's last three fixtures with a hamstring injury but he has declared himself fit for the meeting with United at Old Trafford.

The 33-year-old told City TV: "I feel good. I had to rest a bit because I had a little tear on one of my hamstrings.

"I had a long season last year, so I need to take care of my body, but today I feel great. I am looking forward to Saturday.

"I am going to be giving my maximum in the training sessions to feel as fit as possible, then the manager might have to make some choices."

Both City and United are yet to drop a point in the Premier League this season.
