Sergio Aguero has revealed his regret that manager Roberto Mancini fell out with fellow striker Carlos Tevez.
Aguero, who arrived at the Etihad Stadium in the summer, has replaced Tevez in the lineup after his fellow Argentinian was told that he would never star for the club again following his refusal to warm up for a Champions League tie in September.
"It was a shame that Carlos and Mancini had this fight," he said, according to The People. "I was so sorry about it – but you know, this is football and these things happen in football.
"I hope Carlos finds a solution for his situation as soon as possible.
"But I think that I and the other players who came to the club this year were really helpful for the team. We have a great team with great players. We have this hunger for glory."
Aguero, 24, has scored 14 goals in 18 starts since arriving from Atletico Madrid.
