Sean Dyche: "We believe in what we're doing"

Burnley manager Sean Dyche insists that his side "believe in what we're doing" after they rescued a 2-2 draw against Manchester City.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has insisted that his side "believe in what we're doing" after seeing them fight back from two goals down to snatch a 2-2 draw with Manchester City at the Etihad this afternoon.

Manuel Pellegrini's side had taken the lead through first-half strikes from David Silva and Fernandinho, but a George Boyd goal two minutes after the restart and an Ashley Barnes leveller nine minutes from time rescued a point for Burnley.

"It was a fantastic result but beyond that is the performance. The performance was very good against Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool and we took that into the game," Dyche told reporters at full time.

"At half time I thought we were performing well. We believe in what we are doing. The key was getting that first goal so early. I don't know that City were casual. I believe in the physicality of my players. I am more interested in my performance. They came a long way in that game to get that point.

"It might be Manchester City and we might have been 2-0 down but it is only a point."

Burnley continue their season when they face Newcastle United on January 1.
