Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola avoids action for Nathan Redmond chat?

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola reportedly avoids further action for his heated exchange with Southampton winger Nathan Redmond.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has reportedly been informed that he will face no further action for his conversation with Southampton winger Nathan Redmond.

At the end of City's 2-1 win over the Saints last week, Guardiola instigated what appeared to be a heated conversation with Redmond, who has since revealed that the Spaniard had been complimentary about his ability.

Guardiola has acknowledged that he sometimes 'cannot control himself' and according to PA, the City manager has been informed that he will not be charged for his part in the debate.

However, it has been claimed that Guardiola - who has now led City to 13 successive wins in the Premier League - has been reminded about his responsibilities on the touchline.

Redmond had helped Southampton to remain level with City heading into added-on time before a 96th-minute striker from Raheem Sterling earned the home side a dramatic victory.
