Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany insists that the squad are not feeling the pressure of the title race.

Vincent Kompany has refused to blame nerves for Manchester City's recent slump in form.

City have drawn their last two Premier League matches against Stoke City and Sunderland, allowing rivals Manchester United to take top spot in the Premier League table.

Reflecting on their latest dropped points against the Black Cats yesterday, Kompany insisted that the squad are not feeling the pressure of the title race.

"It was not a good performance and we didn't do enough to win the game," he told the club's official website.

"It is not nerves. There is nobody in the team who has not been in this situation before in another league.

"So, it wasn't nerves, we didn't do enough."

City will be five points behind United if the Red Devils claim a victory from their trip to Blackburn Rovers tomorrow night.
