Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has admitted that he is not sure how he came through Sunday's 0-0 draw at Chelsea following injury concerns.

The Belgian defender was a doubt for the stalemate at Stamford Bridge after he picked up a knee problem during Wednesday's 1-1 draw with Real Madrid in the Champions League.

"I am not sure how I came through the game because I was on crutches 48 hours ago," said Kompany. "I am happy I could help the team but it was not the most comfortable game for me."

Sunday's draw has moved City to within a point of league leaders Manchester United.
