Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has suggested that the Premier League title race could be over if they fail to clinch a victory over Aston Villa on Monday.
The current English champions are 12 points behind rivals Manchester United in the table, but the Italian boss is refusing to concede the title with 11 games left to go.
"Every game will be like this," ESPN quotes Mancini as saying. "If we don't win and they continue to win, always. We talked about this last week. When you are 12 points behind it is normal that if you lose or don't win and Manchester United win the next game it will be difficult.
"It is impossible we can think the season is finished now. There are 11 games to play, 33 points [available], everything is possible. Last time we won the title six games to go [we were] eight points [behind]."
United can stretch their lead to 15 points before City play by defeating Norwich City tomorrow.
