Manuell Pellegrini admits Alan Pardew issue

Manuel Pellegrini says he has an issue with Alan Pardew's ongoing battle with match officials but not with his explicit rant towards him.

Manuel Pellegrini is not dwelling on his touchline spat with Alan Pardew but admits that he has a problem with the way that the Newcastle United manager blasted the match officials during Manchester City's victory on Sunday.

The Chilean was on the receiving end of a verbal tirade from Pardew after City's 2-0 win at St James' Park was marred by referee Mike Jones' controversial decision to disallow a Cheick Tiote goal, which would have drawn Newcastle level.

"I'm not surprised because I think it is impossible to complain about every decision of the referee during the match," manager Pellegrini told reporters.

"I know they were playing at home and they have an advantage in that sense, but it's impossible for the referee if you are complaining at every decision.

"That was my only problem with Alan, but nothing important."

Edin Dzeko and Alvaro Negredo scored the goals to give City their win.
