Pep Guardiola will reportedly be offered the chance to coach the Netherlands when his time at Manchester City comes to an end.
The 51-year-old's long-term future with the Premier League leaders remains uncertain, with his current contract set to expire in June 2023.
According to The Mirror, the Dutch national team held talks with Guardiola before he signed a new two-year deal with City in August last year.
The Oranje are aware of the Spaniard's desire to become an international coach and they are hoping to persuade him to take charge when his contract at the Etihad Stadium runs out.
However, the report adds that City's hierarchy are keen to tie Guardiola down to a new deal and convince him to extend his stay in Manchester.
Guardiola, whose footballing philosophy has been inspired by Dutch legend Johan Cruyff, is on course to clinch his fourth Premier League title in his sixth year with the Citizens, but he will be desperate to try to get his hands on the Champions League trophy later this season.
