Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has been allowed to leave the Argentina squad because of a knee injury.
The 24-year-old was selected in the squad for the upcoming matches against Venezuela and Bolivia, despite the fact that he had not played for City since the end of February because of the complaint.
However, having been assessed by the Argentinian medical staff, it has been decided that it would be too much of a risk to play Aguero in either of the encounters.
He will now return to the Etihad Stadium to continue his rehabilitation.
