Team News: Vincent Kompany, David Silva return for Manchester City

Vincent Kompany and David Silva both return to the Manchester City starting XI for their trip to Leicester City after spells out through injury.

Vincent Kompany and David Silva have both returned to the Manchester City lineup for today's trip to Leicester City after recovering from injuries.

Kompany will lead his side out for the first time in two weeks, while Silva makes his first start since October after coming off the bench in Wednesday's 2-0 victory over Roma.

Frank Lampard, Bacary Sagna and Yaya Toure have also come into the side, as Manuel Pellegrini has made six changes in total from the midweek win in Italy.

Edin Dzeko was originally named in the starting XI, but the forward has been replaced by Jose Pozo after picking up an injury in the warm-up.

Meanwhile, Nigel Pearson has dropped the club's record signing Leonardo Ulloa to the bench for the game at the King Power Stadium.

Ben Hamer has been trusted in goal as the injured Kasper Schmeichel's replacement, while captain Wes Morgan returns to the defence following a one-game suspension.

Andy King and Danny Drinkwater have replaced Ulloa and Matty James, with Pearson opting for a 4-5-1 formation.

Leicester: Hamer, Simpson, Wasilewski, Morgan, Konchesky, Cambiasso, King, Drinkwater, Mahrez, Schlupp, Vardy
Subs: Smith, Hammond, James, Powell, Moore, Ulloa, Knockaert

Man City: Hart, Sagna, Kompany, Mangala, Clichy, Toure, Fernando, Nasri, Lampard, Silva, Pozo
