Barcelona are reportedly planning to move experienced striker Luuk de Jong on at the start of 2022.
The 31-year-old joined the Catalan giants on loan from Sevilla in the latter stages of the summer window, and he is due to spend the entire 2021-22 campaign at Camp Nou.
Barcelona also have the option to sign the Netherlands international on a permanent deal next summer, but according to Sport, De Jong does not have a future at the club.
The report claims that Xavi, who is expected to be confirmed as Barcelona's new head coach in the coming days, does not want to keep De Jong at the club moving forward.
The Dutchman has been a regular for the Catalan giants this season, making nine appearances in all competitions, but he has only found the back of the net on one occasion.
Xavi is allegedly keen for Bayern Munich attacker Kingsley Coman to be one of his first signings at Camp Nou, while Manchester City's Raheem Sterling continues to be linked with a move to the club.
