Manchester City striker John Guidetti is wanted by Feyenoord on a permanent basis.

Feyenoord technical director Martin Van Geel has insisted that the club want to keep Manchester City striker John Guidetti on a permanent basis.

The 20-year-old, who joined Feyenoord on loan in the summer, has scored 20 goals for the Dutch club this season, and Van Geel remains hopeful a deal can be struck.

"I can't say more than I have done. Of course we want to keep John at Feyenoord for longer, but they haven't made a decision about his future yet," he told reporters.

Guidetti has one Swedish cap to his name.
