Kevin de Bruyne to seek Wolfsburg exit?

Kevin de Bruyne will reportedly tell Wolfsburg that he wants to leave the club to join Manchester City.

Kevin de Bruyne will reportedly tell Wolfsburg that he wants to leave the club for Manchester City.

The Blues are believed to have made an improved £47m bid for the Belgian international after Die Wolfe rejected their initial offer.

According to The Mirror, De Bruyne has turned a new £150,000-a-week contract with the Bundesliga giants because he wants to move to the Premier League.

The Guardian claims that Wolfsburg may try to secure a fee nearer £50m, but it is thought that City's new offer is close to being accepted by the German club.

De Bruyne featured for Die Wolfe as they began the defence of their DFB Pokal crown with a 4-1 win over Stuttgarter Kickers on Saturday.
