Manchester City have allegedly identified Barcelona youngster Ilaix Moriba as a potential future signing.
While Pep Guardiola's main priority is trying to chase down Liverpool's lead in the Premier League title race, the City hierarchy are assessing which prospects could be in a position to move to the Etihad Stadium.
According to reports in Spain, Moriba is on the radar of the English giants having emerged as one of the most highly-regarded youngsters at Camp Nou.
Despite not turning 17 years of age until January, there is a suggestion that the teenager may soon be in line to make his bow in the senior ranks.
The report adds that Lionel Messi is playing an influential role in ensuring that Moriba continues his development at the Catalan side.
The Spain Under-17 international still has over two-and-a-half years remaining on his contract.
