David Silva: 'Yaya Toure is happy at Manchester City'

Manchester City midfielder David Silva says that his teammate Yaya Toure is happy at the club.

Manchester City midfielder David Silva has insisted that his teammate Yaya Toure is happy at the club.

Toure's agent Dimitri Seluk claimed earlier this week that his client was upset that the club had failed to acknowledge the midfielder's birthday.

The 31-year-old later admitted that everything his agent said was true and that he would clarify his future after the World Cup.

"I've been playing with the guy Toure for years and I've always thought he was OK," Silva is quoted as saying by ESPN.

"So I don't understand why anyone would necessarily think he was unhappy. He's always seemed fine to me."

Toure scored 24 goals last season to help Manchester City win the Premier League title.
