Scott Sinclair hints at Manchester City exit

Manchester City winger Scott Sinclair suggests that he could leave the club in the New Year due to a lack of first-team football.

Manchester City winger Scott Sinclair has admitted that he could be forced to leave the club in January if he is not given more first-team football.

The 25-year-old joined the Blues from Swansea City in 2012, but he has made just three starts in two years at the Etihad Stadium.

While he insists that he wants to prove himself at City, Sinclair believes that he may have to move elsewhere if he continues to be snubbed by manager Manuel Pellegrini.

"It's been very frustrating, for the last couple of years I have kept my head and tried to do as well as I can in training," he told Sky Sports News.

"Hopefully I will get the chance I am looking for. At this moment in time, it is hard for me to get a game, but all I can do is maybe re-evaluate in January and go from there.

"I hear loads of speculation but at the moment nothing is concrete. I don't feel like I have had the best of chances. I just want to get out there and show people why City bought me. I haven't really had that sort of opportunity."

Sinclair has made two appearances in all competitions for City so far this season.
