Robin van Persie: 'Champions League is wide open'

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie believes that up to 10 teams can win this season's Champions League.

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has claimed that up to 10 teams are capable of winning this season's Champions League.

United return to action on Tuesday night when they travel to Olympiacos for the first leg of their last-16 tie.

"If you play well and are lucky, you have a good chance of going far, but even then I think there are eight to 10 teams who could win it this year," the Dutchman told UEFA's official website.

Van Persie has scored 14 goals in 21 games for United during the current campaign.
