Robin van Persie 'to miss Manchester United's Bayer Leverkusen clash with groin problem'

Robin van Persie is reportedly ruled out of Manchester United's Champions League clash against Bayer Leverkusen due to a groin problem.

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has reportedly been ruled out of tomorrow night's Champions League clash against Bayer Leverkusen with a groin injury.

The Netherlands international was a doubt for the match after missing training today, but Phil Jones and Nemanja Vidic both took part in the session.

Van Persie did not travel with the rest of his teammates to Germany from Manchester Airport this afternoon due to a groin problem, according to ESPN.

Van Persie last played for United when he scored the only goal in their victory over his former club Arsenal on November 10.
