How Manchester United could line up against LASK Linz

Sports Mole looks at how Manchester United could line up for the first leg of their Europa League last-16 tie with LASK Linz on Thursday.

Manchester United turn focus back to the Europa League on Thursday evening with a trip to Austrian Bundesliga leaders LASK Linz for the first leg of their last-16 tie.

The Red Devils eased through the group stage and saw off Club Brugge 6-1 on aggregate in the first knockout round to remain on course for a second European trophy in three years.

United have never previously lost to Austrian opposition and enter the game in fine form, having gone 10 matches without defeat in all competitions.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may set out his side at Linzer Stadion.

United are still without long-term absentees Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford and Lee Grant for Thursday's trip to Austria.

Solskjaer is expected to rotate his side on the back of the 2-0 win over Manchester City on Sunday, meaning Eric Bailly, Scott McTominay and Odion Ighalo - all second-half subs at the weekend - could return to the startling lineup.

While changes are expected, the visitors will still likely name a strong side as they attempt to keep alive their hopes of winning some silverware.

Bruno Fernandes has been in sensational form since arriving at United from Sporting Lisbon in January, and the attacking midfielder has already scored and assisted against LASK for his former club this term.
