Liverpool will be looking to maintain their place at the top of the Premier League as they welcome Manchester United to Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

The Reds are the last remaining unbeaten side in the English top flight this term, having now gone 17 matches without defeat stretching into last season.

Last weekend's 4-0 win at Bournemouth was followed up with a nervy 1-0 victory over Napoli in the Champions League in midweek, extending Liverpool's winning run to four matches ahead of this big derby clash on Merseyside.

Liverpool face an injury crisis of sorts at the back as they embark on a run of five games in the space of 18 days, having seen Matip join fellow centre-back Gomez in the treatment room with a fractured collarbone.

Dejan Lovren is therefore the only choice of partner for Virgil van Dijk, while to their right Alexander-Arnold is carrying a foot injury and will likely be replaced by Milner, who is himself not 100% fit.

After starting the win over Napoli on the bench, Naby Keita and Fabinho are in contention to return to the starting lineup on Sunday to freshen up the middle of the park.

Elsewhere, Clyne, Solanke, Brewster and Oxlade-Chamberlain all remain absent, leaving Klopp's options limited.

Mohamed Salah's form is a huge boost, though, with the Egyptian scoring his eighth, ninth and 10th league goals of the season in the win at Bournemouth to join Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at the top of the scoring charts.
