A frustrating summer transfer window has now closed with Manchester United having missed out on a number of their top targets, including Jadon Sancho.
The Red Devils were busy on deadline day, though, bringing in Edinson Cavani, Alex Telles and Facundo Pellistri, in addition to agreeing a deal to sign Amad Traore in January. Attention will now switch to other business they may do when the window reopens in the winter.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Old Trafford.
Thursday morning's Manchester United transfer talk news roundup:
Arsenal, Manchester United 'to scout Leon Bailey on Thursday'
Arsenal and Manchester United will reportedly both scout Bayer Leverkusen attacker Leon Bailey during Thursday's Europa League clash with Slavia Prague.
The 23-year-old has been in impressive form for his German club during the 2020-21 campaign, scoring five times and contributing six assists in 14 appearances in all competitions.
Bailey has long been linked with a move to the Premier League, and according to the Daily Mail, scouts from both Arsenal and United will be keeping a close eye on his performance in the Europa League.
The report claims that Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are also expected to scout the attacker ahead of potential approaches in 2021.
Leverkusen are in a strong position when it comes to the Jamaica international's future as the Bundesliga giants have him on a contract until the summer of 2023.
Bailey, who largely operates as a right-sided attacker, has scored 29 times and registered 21 assists since arriving at BayArena from Genk in January 2017.
Paul Pogba 'could still sign new Manchester United deal'
Paul Pogba could reportedly still pen a new contract with Manchester United despite the midfielder's agent Mino Raiola again making it clear that his client wants to move on.
Raiola has said that Pogba's time at Old Trafford is "over" and has urged the 20-time English champions to sell the France international during the January transfer window.
The 27-year-old was subsequently left out of the starting XI against RB Leipzig on Tuesday night before coming off the bench in his team's 3-2 defeat, which saw them eliminated from the Champions League.
Pogba's existing deal with United is due to expire in the summer of 2022, and the likes of Juventus and Real Madrid continue to be linked with the World Cup winner.
However, according to ESPN, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are doubtful whether Madrid or Juve can afford to sign the midfielder considering the financial impact of the coronavirus outbreak.
As a result, the report claims that Pogba could eventually sign a new deal at Old Trafford, although senior figures at the club are 'split' over the best course of action.
Solskjaer must now make a decision on the former Le Havre's youngster involvement against Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
