Daley Blind hails Arjen Robben-esque Angel di Maria

Manchester United's Daley Blind highlights a resemblance between teammate Angel di Maria and Netherlands colleague Arjen Robben.

Daley Blind has likened Manchester United teammate Angel di Maria to Arjen Robben and believes that the Argentine is essential to the club's aspirations this season.

The former Real Madrid ace has enjoyed a fine start to life in England following a £59.7m move to Old Trafford, clocking up three goals and three assists in his first five outings.

"He is quite similar [to Robben] but they have their own capacities and do their own things a lot," he told reporters. "You can maybe see it in that way.

"He's amazing. He is an excellent player. He can score goals, make assists, he can keep the ball very well.

"I think I am very pleased we have him in our team. He is very important to us."

Di Maria opened the scoring in United's 2-1 win over Everton on Sunday.
