Further members of the Manchester United squad and staff reportedly produce positive coronavirus tests on Wednesday, three days before their next Premier League fixture.

Manchester United's Premier League fixture with Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday is reportedly further in doubt after several staff produced positive coronavirus tests on Wednesday.

Late on Monday evening, the Premier League confirmed that United's trip to Brentford on the following day had been called off due to the amount of cases which had emerged on Sunday.

As it stands, the Old Trafford meeting with the Seagulls will still go ahead, even though it has been suggested that a postponement could be imminent.

According to the Daily Mail, several players and staff tested positive when tests were conducted at the club's training ground on Wednesday.

The report claims that a number of younger players were included in the training session which subsequently followed for those who had tested negative.

Brighton have also had coronavirus issues to deal with, Graham Potter revealing after Wednesday's defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers that they had enquired about the game being postponed.
