Manchester United interim head coach Ralf Rangnick makes two changes to his starting XI for Tuesday's Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion.

Manchester United interim head coach Ralf Rangnick has made two changes to his starting XI for Tuesday's Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford.

Fred, who is back from COVID-19, comes into the midfield in place of Paul Pogba, while Anthony Elanga takes the place of Marcus Rashford for the match against Graham Potter's side.

Harry Maguire has faced a host of criticism in recent weeks, but the centre-back retains his spot in the XI and will again wear the captain's armband on Tuesday night.

Luke Shaw also keeps his position at left-back despite the return of Alex Telles, while Cristiano Ronaldo will again lead the line despite his scoring issues in recent weeks.

A strong bench also includes Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata, but Edinson Cavani is still unavailable for selection due to a groin problem.

A win for Man United, who have drawn their last two league games against Burnley and Southampton, would take them back into fourth position in the Premier League table.

A late change to the side saw Victor Lindelof come in for Raphael Varane, who was forced to pull out through illness.

Man United XI: De Gea; Dalot, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw; Fred, McTominay; Elanga, Fernandes, Sancho; Ronaldo
