Samir Nasri reminds Manchester City that their destiny is in their hands.

Samir Nasri has reminded his Manchester City teammates that their fate in the Premier League title race is in their hands.

The Frenchman kept his side within touching distance of league leaders Manchester United when he scored the winning goal against Chelsea in midweek, but insists that the club must continue to show that kind of character to win the league.

"It's special to score in that kind of game," he said. "Our fans were up for it and the atmosphere was electric.

"From the first minute I was feeling good and tried to be attacking, dribbling, passing and shooting as much as I could.

"It was important that we won after [Manchester United's] result at the weekend. We showed great character. If we win all our games, we win the title."

City currently trail the Red Devils by a single point in the Premier League table.
