Return to action pleases Jonny Evans

Manchester United's Jonny Evans is pleased to be back playing following a hamstring injury.

Jonny Evans has admitted that he was pleased to return to the Manchester United starting lineup during yesterday's 1-0 victory against Fulham at Craven Cottage.

The Northern Ireland international had spent the previous four weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

However, following a return to training earlier in the week, Evans was included in the team that took on Fulham and the centre-back has confessed that it was "good to be back".

"It's good to be back but I got cramp in my calves in the last 10 minutes," he told MUTV.

"It took me a while to get into the game in the first 20 minutes. Once I got over that I felt all right. I'm just glad to be back out there."

Evans has made 18 Premier League appearances this season.
