Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney changes his Twitter bio, removing the term "Manchester United player'.

Striker Wayne Rooney has removed the term "Manchester United player" from his official Twitter page.

It was reported earlier on Thursday that Rooney had expressed a desire to leave Old Trafford at the end of the season, and he appears to have taken further measures to voice his unhappiness at the club.

United have insisted that Rooney is not for sale and will not be leaving the club in the summer.

The England international has been linked with a potential move to Chelsea.
