Bastian Schweinsteiger "speechless" after terror attacks on Paris

Germany midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger reveals that he has been left "speechless" following the terror attacks that rocked the French capital of Paris.

Germany and Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has revealed that he has been left "speechless" following Friday's terror attacks in Paris.

Schweinsteiger was part of a Germany side that played France at the Stade de France, which became a target for several suspected suicide bombings, on an evening that also saw other sites in the French capital come under horrifying attack.

"I am still speechless about what happened on Friday," the midfielder wrote on his Facebook page.

"My sincerest condolences to everybody who is affected by this terrible tragedy. My prayers also go out to all the people who lost their lives the day before in Beirut.

"No matter where you come from and what religion you follow - we are one."

The game between Die Mannschaft and France finished 2-0 in favour of Les Bleus, who had goals from Olivier Giroud and Andre-Pierre Gignac to thank for the victory.
