Premier League predictions gameweek 21: Fat White Family's Lias Saoudi vs. Sports Mole
Sports Mole takes on Lias Saoudi of Fat White Family for a Premier League predictions challenge in gameweek 21 of the 2023-24 season.

The winter breaks means that gameweek 21 of the Premier League season will be spread over the next two weekends, with every team across the division given a weekend off after a typically hectic festive schedule.

There are still plenty of eye-catching matches to look forward to despite the elongated nature of the gameweek, though, including a West London derby between Chelsea and Fulham on the opening Saturday lunchtime.

That is followed by Newcastle United hosting champions Manchester City, while a hastily-rescheduled game between Burnley and Luton Town - switched from Monday night to Friday night due to FA Cup commitments - gets the gameweek underway.

Sunday then sees two more intriguing fixtures as Everton welcome high-flying Aston Villa and Manchester United take on Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.

The following weekend, Arsenal get things going in a London derby against Crystal Palace, while Liverpool - league leaders heading into the gameweek - are also among the second batch of teams in action when they visit Bournemouth.

Each gameweek, Sports Mole is taking on a famous musician or band in a prediction competition, and this week it is the turn of Lias Saoudi of Fat White Family.

Lias Q&A

Lias Saoudi of Fat White Family press shot

How did you come to support Leeds and what are your favourite memories from your time as a fan?

When I was little I was Newcastle United, because of Asprilla...and Shearer...but I tried to get tickets once with my dad and it was impossible, so I switched to Leeds United - on the up at the time - in protest.

My favourite memory was being driven all the way down from Ayr on the west coast of Scotland to Elland Road to watch a dramatic 3-3 draw with Coventry. Stirring stuff!

Who have been your favourite five players for your club? (Historically or currently)

I've been off the boil as a club fan for some time, I prefer international football, as the results can't be bought...but back in the day they were Ian Harte, Harry Kewell, Robbie Keane, Mark Viduka and David Batty.

What's going on with the band at the moment?

We're just about to release a fourth Fat Whites album, plus I'm working on new records with Acid House group Decius and Sheffield-based electro pioneers The Moonlandingz. Other than that, I write the odd essay about why life these days is so confusing.
