Gabriel Jesus is preferred to Sergio Aguero in Manchester City's starting XI ahead of Sunday's Premier League derby against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has made two changes ahead of Sunday's Premier League derby against Manchester City at Old Trafford.

Ander Herrera is drafted into midfield as a replacement for Paul Pogba, who is suspended.

Marcus Rashford comes in to add pace to United's attack, which also features Jesse Lingard, Anthony Martial and Romelu Lukaku.

Marouane Fellaini has not played since the 1-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion a fortnight ago and does not make the matchday squad.

For the visitors, Gabriel Jesus is selected to lead the line ahead of Sergio Aguero, who drops to the bench.

Pep Guardiola has made three changes from the 2-1 win over West Ham United, with Vincent Kompany and Fernandinho back in the XI, while David Silva is also deemed fit to start.

Manchester United: De Gea; Rojo, Smalling, Valencia, Young; Herrera, Matic, Lingard; Rashford, Martial, Lukaku
Subs: Romero, Lindelof, Jones, Mata, Ibrahimovic, Shaw, McTominay

Manchester City: Ederson; Walker, Otamendi, Kompany, Delph; Fernandinho, Silva, De Bruyne; Sterling, Sane, Jesus
Subs: Bravo, Danilo, Gundogan, Bernardo, Aguero, Mangala, Zinchenko
