Bruno Fernandes "won't rest" until he wins silverware with Manchester United

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes is 'honoured' to play for the club and is desperate to win trophies during his long stay at Old Trafford.

Bruno Fernandes has insisted that he "won't rest" until he helps Manchester United return to their glory days of old.

Monday marks the one-year anniversary since the Portugal international made his debut for the Red Devils in a goalless draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The 26-year-old has been a revelation since arriving from Sporting Lisbon in a deal worth an initial £47m, scoring 28 goals and setting up 18 more in 53 appearances.

However, on the back of trophyless first half-campaign at Old Trafford, Fernandes admits that he cannot be happy until his side begin winning silverware.

"Definitely not the result I wanted to celebrate my first year as a Red, but we'll keep working to improve," he posted on Instagram following United's 0-0 draw with Arsenal.

"It's an absolute honour to play football with the Man Utd badge on my chest. The history of this football club was built over wins, many wins. I came here to help on continuing that legacy, and I won't rest until I do it.

"I want to thank all the fans for your outstanding support. Hopefully, this was only the first of many years together. Glory glory Man United!"

Fernandes has gone four Premier League games without a goal, which is his longest drought since arriving at Old Trafford.
