Arsenal join race to sign AS Monaco midfielder Fabinho?

Arsenal reportedly decide to join the race to sign AS Monaco midfielder Fabinho, who is also attracting interest from Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.

AS Monaco midfielder Fabinho has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Arsenal ahead of next season.

Fabinho has been heavily linked with a move to either Manchester United or Paris Saint-Germain after an excellent campaign with his current side, who won Ligue 1 and reached the Champions League semi-finals.

However, it has previously been alleged that the Brazilian international is not Jose Mourinho's first choice, while Monaco would prefer not to sell to PSG, who will represent their biggest challenge in France's top flight next season.

According to France Football, that could let in Arsenal with manager Arsene Wenger having already taken an interest in Fabinho's teammates Kylian Mbappe and Thomas Lemar.

Last season, the versatile 23-year-old scored 10 times in 52 appearances and would cost in excess of £40m if any club is successful with an offer this summer.

Fabinho still has four years remaining on his contract at Stade Louis II.
