Arsenal reluctant to meet Riyad Mahrez asking price?

Arsenal are reportedly unwilling to meet Leicester City's £50m asking price for Riyad Mahrez.

Riyad Mahrez's proposed move to Arsenal may have hit a stumbling block following reports that the Gunners are unwilling to meet Leicester City's valuation.

The Foxes have slapped a £50m price tag on the Algeria international while the Gunners are reluctant to offer more than £35m, according to talkSPORT.

The North London outfit are said to be unconvinced that Mahrez is worth his asking price following a below-par Premier League campaign.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are reportedly retaining their interested in Monaco's Thomas Lemar, although the French club's valuation of £80m could deter them in their pursuit

Earlier this week, the Gunners smashed their transfer record by recruiting Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon in a deal worth £52.6m.
