Chelsea are reportedly set to join the race for Red Bull Salzburg striker Benjamin Sesko, who is also a target for Manchester United.

Chelsea are reportedly set to join Manchester United in the race for Red Bull Salzburg striker Benjamin Sesko.

The Slovenia international has caught the attention of clubs across Europe after scoring 11 goals and contributing seven assists in 37 appearances for the Austrian champions in the 2021-22 season.

Sesko - who has already scored two goals in as many appearances this term - has been linked with a move away from Salzburg.

A recent report indicated that Man United were monitoring the situation ahead of a potential transfer, although the likes of Real Madrid, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have also been credited with showing an interest.

According to Media Foot, Chelsea are also set to enter the race for the 19-year-old as Thomas Tuchel looks to strengthen his attacking options.

Although Raheem Sterling has arrived this summer, Chelsea are still looking to make further additions to the final third following the departure of Romelu Lukaku, while Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner have been linked with moves away from Stamford Bridge.

Tuchel's former side Borussia Dortmund are also believed to be interested in recruiting Sesko this summer.
