Despite Sir Alex Ferguson's confidence that the 18-year-old will sign a new contract at Old Trafford, Chelsea are understood to be prepared to scupper the deal, according to The Mirror.
It is believed that the teenager's representatives are looking for a bid in the region of £3m, and while United are willing to up the playmaker's wages, they are reportedly concerned over the excessive demands.
