Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho has reportedly decided against joining Manchester United this summer due to his respect for former club Liverpool.
United have been heavily linked with a move for the 27-year-old in recent months amid speculation that he is unhappy at the Camp Nou.
Coutinho's form has been largely underwhelming since joining Barcelona in a £142m move from Liverpool in January 2018, scoring 21 goals in 75 appearances for the club.
The Spanish champions are understood to be willing to consider offers of substantially less than they paid to bring him to the Camp Nou, but Sky Sports News claims that Coutinho has turned down the chance to join United due to his links to their bitter rivals Liverpool.
Instead, the Brazil international is thought to be in talks with French champions Paris Saint-Germain, while Manchester City and Chelsea have also been credited with an interest.
Coutinho started just 22 La Liga games for Barcelona last season, scoring five goals as the Catalan giants retained the title.
