Report: Everton want Leeds United's Sam Byram if Seamus Coleman leaves

Everton reportedly identify Leeds United right-back Sam Byram as a possible replacement if Seamus Coleman leaves for Manchester United.

Everton have reportedly targeted a move for Leeds United's Sam Byram if Manchester United step up their interest in Seamus Coleman.

Man United are thought to be in the market for a new right-back this summer and Coleman, who joined Everton for £60,000 from Sligo Rovers in January 2009, is on their wishlist.

According to The Telegraph, Everton believe that Byram could be the man to take Coleman's place at right-back if the Irishman wants to move to Old Trafford.

Byram has been the subject of plenty of Premier League interest since breaking into the Leeds first team in 2012, but the Yorkshire club have resisted offers so far.

However, he is entering the final year of his contract at Elland Road and that could tempt Leeds to make some money on him while they still can.
