Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson hints that he will look to acquire more South American players in the future.

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has praised the attitude of South American players – hinting that he will look to acquire more in the future.

United have signed the likes of Antonio Valencia and Javier Hernandez in recent seasons, while Angelo Henriquez joined the club this summer.

"The South Americans love playing football, it's just in their blood. The three Brazilians - Anderson, Rafael and Fabio - love it and are first to training every morning. It's a breath of fresh air," he told Inside United.

"Antonio Valencia is as tough as nails with great discipline about him. Chicharito has a fantastic attitude to playing and everything else. It's really good."

United face Wigan Athletic in the Premier League next Saturday.
