Barcelona president Joan Laporta has insisted that contract negotiations are progressing well with Ronald Araujo and Gavi.
Both players have contracts at Camp Nou until the end of next season, a situation which has inevitably led to speculation regarding their respective futures.
Many top European clubs are said to be monitoring the situation with the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea being linked with either or both of the players.
However, Laporta feels that the duo will each extend their stays at the Catalan outfit, telling El Periodico: "Gavi and Araujo contracts? There's a framework in which we have to stay at to negotiate salaries.
"Talks are going well. We want them to stay, and they want to stay."
Laporta may look to free up further space on the wage bill during the summer transfer window before finalising improved offers for the defender and midfielder respectively.
