Javier Hernandez to stay at Manchester United

Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez will not seal a move away from the club before tonight's deadline, according to the player's agent.

Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez will not be securing a late move away from the club, according to the player's agent Eduardo Hernandez.

The Mexican international has been linked with a number of clubs, one of which was fellow Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur.

Despite being approached by clubs all around Europe, the 25-year-old has chosen to remain at Old Trafford and fight for his place under manager David Moyes.

"I had meetings with a few clubs, I won't name them nor their offers, they are very interested in him," Hernandez's agent told ESPN Deportes. One of the top 10 teams in the world are among those teams that were very interested in signing Javier.

"There was a club from Germany, one from France, and two from Spain and Italy each that want to have him. However, he is under contract with Man United and he somehow has to respect it in case there is an agreement between the parties."

Hernandez has struggled to secure a place in the United first team due to Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck all being above 'Chicharito' in the pecking order.
