Juventus make Manchester United's Juan Mata top January target?

Juventus reportedly make Man United playmaker Juan Mata their top January transfer target after high-profile arrivals put the Spaniard's Old Trafford future in doubt.

Juventus are believed to have made Manchester United playmaker Juan Mata their top January target.

The Spaniard's future in the Red Devils first XI has been questioned following the arrivals of Angel di Maria and Radamel Falcao at the end of the summer window.

Some reports have suggested that Louis van Gaal will struggle to find room for Mata in an attack which also includes Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie, and could be willing to part with the 26-year-old.

Turin-based publication Tuttosport claims that Juventus are already planning their winter transfer activity and want Mata to join United targets Arturo Vidal and Paul Pogba in their midfield.

Mata only moved to Old Trafford from Chelsea for what was a club-record fee of £37m in January.
