Martin Keown: 'Adam Lallana should join Liverpool'

Former Arsenal centre-back Martin Keown believes that Southampton attacker Adam would be the perfect signing for Liverpool this summer.

Former Arsenal centre-back Martin Keown believes that Adam Lallana should leave Southampton for Liverpool this summer.

The Saints skipper, who has been one of the standout players in the Premier League this season, has been widely linked with a move to Anfield at the end of the season.

"Brendan Rodgers has been tactically brilliant for Liverpool. Steven Gerrard has been played in a different position, Raheem Sterling has come in," Keown told BBC Sport.

"He just needs to tweak it a bit more and Adam Lallana, what a player - the way he moves the ball is excellent. He has developed a little late but he is ready to leave Southampton for Liverpool now."

Manchester United are also believed to be in the running for Lallana.
