Manchester United target Toni Kroos: 'Bayern Munich exit not possible'

Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos suggests that it is "not possible" for him to sign for Manchester United this summer.

Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos has suggested that his potential move to Manchester United is over after revealing that a summer exit is "not possible".

The Red Devils were reported to have agreed a £20m fee for the German international, but it is believed that new manager Louis van Gaal has pulled out of the deal.

"I would be very surprised [if Bayern let me leave before end of my contract in 2015]," Kroos told Bild. "The club was very clear and told me that a transfer in 2014 would not be possible.

"There have been many speculations, but Manchester United was never an issue and is no issue right now."

Van Gaal was installed as David Moyes's successor on a three-year deal on Monday.
