Liverpool have reportedly approached Barcelona over the possibility of taking Ousmane Dembele on loan for the 2020-21 campaign.
The France international has largely struggled to make his mark for the Catalan giants since arriving from Borussia Dortmund in 2017, with a succession of injury problems halting his progress.
Dembele has not played a competitive match since last November due to hamstring issues, while he only made five La Liga appearances during the 2019-20 campaign.
According to Sport, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is keen to boost his attack this season with the signing of Dembele.
The report claims that the Premier League champions have made contact with Barca to discuss the possibility of signing the 2018 World Cup winner on loan for the 2020-21 campaign.
Dembele, who has also previously been linked with Manchester United and Arsenal, has less than two years left to run on his contract at Camp Nou.
