Liverpool 'lead Manchester United in race for Pinchi'

Liverpool reportedly lead Premier League rivals Manchester United in the race to sign out-of-favour Deportivo La Coruna striker Pinchi in the summer.

Liverpool are reportedly leading the race to sign Deportivo La Coruna striker Pinchi this summer.

The 22-year-old has been deemed surplus to requirements by Deportivo so far this season, failing to make a single appearance for the senior side and instead turning out for the club's B team.

Nonetheless, the forward has been linked with some of the Premier League's biggest clubs, with Liverpool and Manchester United reportedly interested in the attacker.

The Mirror reports that Liverpool are currently frontrunners to bring the Spaniard to England, with Depor happy to let the out-of-favour forward leave the club in the summer.

It is understood that it would only take a small compensation fee to land Pinchi's signature too, adding to the Reds' desire to sign him.

Pinchi has played 22 times for Depor's second team this season, scoring six goals.
