Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Real Sociedad attacker Takefusa Kubo during this summer's transfer window.
The Reds are expected to be in the market for a couple of new forwards during the upcoming market, with Darwin Nunez, Federico Chiesa and Diogo Jota potentially all leaving the club before the end of the summer.
Mohamed Salah, meanwhile, only has a contract at Anfield until the end of June, and as it stands, despite his outstanding 2024-25 campaign, the Egypt international will be leaving on a free transfer.
According to Fichajes, Real Sociedad's Kubo is of interest to Liverpool, with the Reds viewing him as the ideal player to boost their squad for the 2025-26 campaign.
The report claims that Real Sociedad have no desire to let the Japan international leave this summer, but La Real are unlikely to be able to resist a substantial offer, especially with the Basque side potentially missing out on European football for next season.

Liverpool 'keen on summer move for Kubo'
Imanol Alguacil's side are currently 10th in the La Liga table, boasting only 38 points from 29 matches, which has left them nine points off sixth-placed Real Betis in the race for Europe.
Kubo has been with Real Sociedad since 2022, representing the Basque team on 128 occasions in all competitions, scoring 23 goals and registering 18 assists in the process.
This season, the 23-year-old has represented the Blue and Whites 43 times in all competitions, scoring seven goals and registering four assists, including five goals in 27 outings in the top flight of Spanish football.
Kubo has long been linked with a move away from Real Sociedad, with Real Madrid believed to be keen to re-sign him at one stage, while Manchester United are thought to be admirers of his talents.
The forward represented Barcelona's academy between 2011 and 2015, but the Catalan side were later found to have violated FIFA's international transfer policy, and he was then deemed ineligible, which led to him returning to Japan.
Kubo was back in Europe with Real Madrid in 2019, but he did not make a single appearance for Los Blancos, with his career taking off at Real Sociedad after loan spells with Mallorca, Villarreal and Getafe.

How much would Kubo cost?
There is allegedly a release clause of €60m (£50m) inserted into Kubo's contract, and it is likely that Real Sociedad would point to that amount if clubs approached them during the summer market.
Liverpool are unlikely to be willing to go that amount for the forward, though, so it would not be a surprise to see a deal occur for less, with the Reds known as shrewd operators in the market.
