Manchester City would reportedly have to fork out £300m if they wish to sign Borussia Dortmund star Erling Braut Haaland this summer.

The 20-year-old is one of the world's most sought-after players heading into this summer's transfer window, and he has been strongly linked with Pep Guardiola's side as well as other top European clubs such as Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona.

According to The Sun, Dortmund value Haaland at around £150m, while the Norwegian is demanding a contract worth £600,000 a week, which would see him become the highest-paid player in Premier League history.

It would work out that City would have to pay around £300m, including the transfer fee and a five-year contract, to lure the striker to the Etihad Stadium.

Dortmund are keen to keep Haaland but as his current deal includes a £65m release clause which becomes active in the summer of 2022, the German club would consider selling the striker for a nine-figure fee.

Failing to agree terms with the Norwegian could see City turn their attention to Tottenham Hotspur talisman Harry Kane, who is now believed to be considering his options.

Haaland has made 31 appearances in all competitions for Dortmund so far this campaign, scoring a remarkable 33 goals and providing eight assists.
